Venturing out for a walk on a snowy afternoon, what should we see but Santa trying to hail a cab…
Rather to our surprise, Central Park was busy with people enjoying the snowfall – Tom was convinced we’d be the only ones mad enough to go outside.
The park was looking beautiful under a coating of snow, so in spite of gusts of wind driving snowflakes into our faces it was fun to be out and about. We seemed to be the only people with an umbrella though, New Yorkers seem happy enough to just pull on a hat and get snowed on.
As we walked home Park Avenue was looking rather festive.
But I must admit it was nice to come indoors to a cosy apartment, a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. (We had a few friends over for Christmas drinks last night, hence the decorations are up already.)
