A series of exciting excursions

Another recent visitor from England saw us hitting the tourist trail with a vengeance. As a first time visitor to NYC she had a long list of must-sees, and we were happy to offer the benefit of our experience of the city too. It was lovely to reconnect whilst seeing the sights, and her interests meant that we had some new experiences as well as revisiting old favourites.

So, what did we get up to? Well… the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, a walking tour of graffiti art in Bushwick, jazz brunch at Blue Note

…strolling in the Village, the Hard Times tour at the Tenement Museum, a walk down the High Line…

…wandering in Central Park, a quick glimpse of Grand Central Station, a basketball game at Madison Square Gardens…

…cocktails at the top of the Rock, dinner in Hell’s Kitchen (twice), and a peek at the strangely-beguiling Earth Room.

We also managed to fit in a 48-hour trip to Washington DC, but that’s another story…! More photos over in my Flickr album.
